The Swahili term "safari" translates to "journey," which inspired the name "Safari Winery."
As a family-owned winery established in Fredericksburg, Texas, we have called this place home for six generations since the mid-1800s. Our love for this town runs deep, as it remains the only place we've ever truly considered home.
While Fredericksburg is our roots, our family has always cherished exploring new destinations, strengthening our bond over the years. We created this winery to share something unique with you and your loved ones, bringing together wines from around the globe. We hope our selections foster connections and serve as a reminder of life’s true essence!

Do I have to be a wine club member to visit?No, you don't have to be a wine club member to visit! We warmly welcome all wine enthusiasts and curious newcomers alike. However, our wine club members do enjoy special perks and discounts. Please contact us or ask one of our team members about our membership during your visit if you'd like to learn more!

What are your winery's hours of operation?Our tasting room hours are below. Sunday - 12:00 - 6:00pm Monday - 11:00 - 5:00pm Tuesday - 11:00 - 5:00pm Wednesday - 11:00 - 5:00pm Thursday - 11:00 - 5:00pm Friday - 11:00 - 6:00pm Saturday - 10:00 - 6:00pm Our office hours are the same as above, except we are closed on the weekends. Do you have any gluten-free options?Yes, our pizzas are gluten-free, as they are prepared with a cauliflower crust. We can also customize our charcuterie boards to be gluten-free upon request. While some other minor adjustments may be possible, we cannot guarantee them. Please consult your server for options that accommodate your specific dietary needs.

How much are your wine tastings?Yes, our regular wine tasting fee is $24. While you're here, feel free to ask one of our team members about our wine club and how you can have your tasting fees waived.

Is stemware included with the purchase of a wine tasting?No, stemware is not included with the purchase of a wine tasting. However, we offer a variety of wine glass options that you can buy as a souvenir or for your personal use, enabling our guests to enjoy the same wine tasting experience at home that we provide on-site.
